Hyd Shop Press Needed

I would either like to build or buy a 30 to 50 ton hyd shop press. Does anyone know where I could get a set of plans for building a shop press? I already have a good 2 speed (5000 psi) hyd hand pump. Also, if anyone has a press for sale less hyd pump and/or cylinder or jack, I would be interested in purchasing it. Thanks in advance. I am located in North Dakota and my email is: [email protected]

Paul,

with steel prices what they are ??? I"d look at a Harbor Freight or other import model and adapt to my hydraulics... you can"t hardly build now for the cost of buying one.

I agree, buy one, new or used. Lots of trouble to drill up the channel iron and with the price of steel, it isn't worth it.

I bought a 25 ton Dake off someone on Ebay, less than $500 even after driving 1800 mile round trip to pick it up.

Just take a look a one similar to what you'd like to build; one of the simplest shop projects. Good "starter" project..... .....
