Stihltech, I got my 036 going again. Removed the oil pump and blew some solvent throught and it now works as it did new, thanks for the info. I have a MS210 that is my son's first saw, there is no mention of an oiler adjustment in the book, none adjustable? Also is my first saw with the EPA carb. With the adjustment agaist the rich side stop it still acts too lean to have power as I think it should and has a slight studder in acceleration even when warmed up. Is this an air quality deal or is mine not right? Cam I remove the stop easily and should I do that? Thanks

The 210, get some more run time on it with fresh fuel. I have had a couple on the lean side, but that was when it was still an 021. You haven't really broken this saw in yet. If you need more info, feel free to contact me.

I have used/sold a lot of saws and no matter how much run time on them, they are still running lean and need to be adjusted or carb replaced.

Thanks again, the 210 doesnt have too many hours on it yet I guess maybe 3-4. The boy trims limbs out in front of my 036, that realy speeds up our firewood cutting. Maybe I will put it in some good cuts to seat things in. It hasnt been very cold here yet, around freezing but opening the heat door a bit to warm the carb helped it today as far as the studdering goes.

I am not Sithltech, but you have one of the common probelms with new saws. Normally on all the new saws I sell. I have to ifx them after ab hour of run time. I cannot legally tell you how to fix it, but if you take it to your local Stihl dealer, he can adjust it. The thing you got to be careful on a Stihl, they run at pretty high RPM and if you go to adjusting and get it too lean, you can burn up a saw from lack of lubrication. If you bought the saw from your local dealer, he should adjust it for you free. If he cannot adjust it and it is still under the wrranty, then tell him to put a new carb on it, becasue stome Stihl saws only have a low speed adjustment on it and that does not always fix it.

Thanks JT, didnt mean to cut out anybody from giving me some help. The saw is a year old now but probably has less than 2 hrs use. My dealer is pretty good from what I hear but I have never needed their service in the past thanks to high quality Stihl products.

Lucass, I am not anyone on ebay, I have never sold anything there yet. I am a Stihl saw tech(20 years) in western NY with a pretty good reputation. I post on a few chainsaw sites, just trying to help out, for absolutly nothing.

Stihltech is a good guy. All I"ve seen from him here has been the straight poop that could only come from an experienced, hard working and helpfull individual.

eBay is another story entirely. You should VERY WELL expect to be ripped off by the lowest of people there sre when on eBay, my opinion based on my experience. There are some good ones though. Finding them is the challenge. Thanks for the warning.

I read alot of posts by stihltech and only seen him trying to help someone. I would tend to say if stihltech said he never sold on ebay, I would not have a problem taking this stihltech at his word.

Remember, there"s also many T_Bone"s on the internet too and few almost made change my handle from the garbage they spew elsewhere.

If I used my birth name, there"s also a few thousand with the same name. I would bet that would apply to alot of people.
