I have a 5 speed Dodge tranny in my truck and while I was working on my interior, I pushed it out of gear with the truck off and I didnt use the clutch. I am not sure what I did, but the truck is now stuck in gear and the stick is binding and is not in its normal track. Anyone have any suggestions besides bringing it to a shop?

I knew there was a reason I never did anything to the interior of my truck. When the spit bottles and MCD's wrappers block a window time to take about 1/2 the trash out. :-). Seriously, not a big problem, other guys told you straight.

Just pull the shifter out of the top of the tranny
and realign the notches in the rails and reinstall the shifter. Pretty simple operation.

Sort of a no brainer there huh oggie. Just pull the boot up and there are four 10mm bolts. Take the shifter up and get it back into the slots.
