There has been several mentions of hoists here and like Willies (picture) on his trailer in the tractor place. Just want to say that if you are thinking about one- DO IT now. Best thing I ever did was put one on my old farm pickup. Recenly pulled the liner out of my newer pickup and moved it to that one so I would have it with me. To heck with what people thing about its looks. Harbor freight one is OK, Make sure it has a winch rather than just hyd up. I have a cheap warn electric on mine. My back would be a lot better if I had had one 30 years ago. Kenny

I have a hoist/crane that will go in a socket I can bolt the flat bed body on my pickup, in a socket on a woods trailer we use for firewood, or on the log splitter. One of the best tools I have or have made! Saves so much a$$ busting. Have had it around for 10 to 12 years now and should have made it much sooner. It will lift 500 + lbs. When I get so I can figure out the new digital camera we just got us for Xmas, maybe I can post a picture or two.

I'll second that. The one I pictured on my trailer is one of the handiest things I ever did. Unfortunately I didn't do it until I couldn't lift anything. If I'd done it sooner my health probably wouldn't be as bad as it is now.
