Old wenches are not much use as they are generally cranky and hard to please. Get yourself a new wench and train her the way you want.LMAO

Here's an antique wrench website with pictures and auction results. Hope it gives you some ideas.

I think your best bet is to go to eBay -- that"s where all the collectors go to look for that sort of thing. It"s a bit of a headache getting a seller"s account set up, but you"re more likely to get a fair price because you"ll reach people all over the country, or even the world...

Start out with a reasonable opening bid, and the collectors will find you. An example: one seller put an old Indian motorcycle seat up for auction a couple of weeks ago, with a starting bid of $9.99. Seat was in fairly rough condition, but not too bad when you consider that it"s 80-90 years old. Now, if you try to sell something like that locally, you"ll probably get $50-100, or maybe even $200 if you"re lucky. But because folks from all over check the eBay listings periodically to see if anything of interest to them has been listed, a bidding war started, and that seller wound up getting over $1200 (yes, twelve hundred dollars!) for that auction. (Go to eBay auction number 4506883178 to see for yourself, ot try the link at the bottom of this posting.) Makes me think I"ll take a second look at old motorcycle junk at the auctions I go to...

So, that"s my advice. Put the merchandise out where the likely buyers will see it, then stand back and collect the cash! (This also prevents potential headaches from getting tied up with unscrupulous auctioneers -- but that"s a story for another day...)

Good luck to you with your sales, no matter what you decide to do.

Try going to one of your local auctioneers that has a little experience in that type of thing. He or she should be able to give you some guidelines to follow as to what they have seen in the past.----deadeye

Don"t know whether to envy or pity you; only have one old wench myself; wouldn"t take anything for her..... ..

A couple of months ago there was a truck advertised in the classified section of the local paper. It came complete with wench.

Good eyes, I missed the dropped "r" in the first typing of it.

I'm told having multiple wenches is a high stress occupaton. No wonder you want to downsize. Didn't know you could sell 'em on ebay though.

Those Indiain wrenches are probably worth a few bucks.I thought Indian tools said Hendee on them and not Indian.Anything antique and motorcycle in the same sentence is getting to be high priced.Motorcycle auctions will amaze you at some of the money they get.The American version went out in 1953 then it became an Enfield Indian for several more yrs before shutting down.Dont give em away too cheap.Somebodys dreamin bout em right now.
