Where do you get the McCulloch Parts in reply to Jim K, 11-27-2004 20:07:20
Saw several references to locations to get parts but details not furnished. Can someone in the "know" post the details in this area with the appropriate subject line so all searchers can readily find it.

Thanks

Joe

Davis,
Right now their are a lot of old parts still available, but are getting in short supply. Bars, chains, carb parts, sprockets, are all commonly available, the problem you might run into will be air filters, little parts, etc. maybe some specialized fuel lines. Right now a company called Wallenberg Sales in Santa Fe, California is the biggest supplier of McCulloch parts I know of, I have never called them and not got what I need. Got a carb kit the other days off an OOLLLLDDD Mac saw, cost me almost $90.00, but I got it. Is on an old chop saw, cannot replace for $90.00, so it was worth it. I do not have their number at the tip of my fingers, but if you want it, post back and I will get it for you, or email me. I even got a few old Mac parts in stock, especially for string trimmers.

These people have a lot of the common parts listed on this page. Not the one you're looking for, but if you root around on their site you'll find a number to call that they might can help you.
I've gotten several things for my old Homelite from them.
Good Luck, Wm

I called the toll free parts line in Tuscon. They were able to send the right part even though it wasn't in the breakdown in the book.

If it is the saw I am thinking of you will need to visit a few saw repair shops and dig through their junk piles. These break cause people yank on the pull ropes too hard and bust them up. Ebay does have listings if you know what you're looking for. Collecting McCulloch saws I have "mined" a lot of the old timers before they close up. Saw repair just doesn't pay any more in a throw away world. I have a LOT of the parts books and such if you need help. Jeffcat
