Cutting wood over weekend I pinched saw and was able to work it out in a few wobbles. But since then can't get the saw to idle. Did I tear a carb boot or where do I start? The rubber isolators are getting pretty weak could that of let me tear a boot when I was pulling it out?

Sounds like you most likely did tear the carb boot. Yes the isolators being weak could tear it. I'd have a look on Ebay theres a few parts sources on there.
