I picked up a used homelite 330 chainsaw and need help getting the thing to stay running. The guy who owned it before me couldn't get it started and was turning the high and low screws on the carb, and has it all messed up.

I can get it to start but it won't stay running and was hoping that someone here could give me the default settings on the high low screws and the idle screw settings?

You might also check the rubber boot/connector under the carb. If this develops a tear it must be replaced (will seem like a carb problem). I have them in stock. $13.95 including shipping.

I am looking for a oil pump for our chain saw.
Or does anyone know where to get one.

About a turn and 1/4 from lightly seated and it should run. If the carb adjustments do no good it may need a carb kit or have a air leak. These saws had a habit of having the main bearings get loose and take the crank seals with them. Check the end play on the crank also, should have no more than about 1/8". Does the saw have good compression?
