Howdy, all.
I"m about to test the fuel pressure in our 1990 240sx and I want to test each individual injector, too. I know how to test the fuel pressure, but what"s the best way to test injectors?

Thanks,
Darren

You can test those injectors on the car using pressure drop method . You need a very good pressure gauge, and injector pulser though . Pressurize system , note pressure, pulse injector, note pressure drop , do same for all injectors, should be within 10 % of eachother , also can measure resistance of each inj, not sure of spec right off hand , but should all be close to eachother . Given those injectors past problems with external leakage ,I would opt to replace them,,,major fire hazard if they leak, and most of them do .

They spray fuel through them into a test tube/jar/whatever and measure how much fuel goes into it in a certain amount of time, hense lb/hour rating. Im going to leave it up to you to figure out how to do this yourself. The 240sx is a 4 hole motor isn't it? 14 yr old injectors? Just replace them with new ones.

I think you are talking about a gas car engine aren't you ? I pulled the ones out of my truck and sent them to the same place that does my diesel injectors, they also clean and test gas injectors.
