concrete ratio

Just wondering if any one know the number of sand shovels to portland concrete mix is in a electric concrete mixer. Im thinking 3 or 4 shovels of sand to one shovel of powder mix and one shovel of rock and water of chors. Any help would be nice i think it a one cube mixer

Upred has the ratio right but also the dryer you can mix it the stronger the crete will be ,soup won't last as long as very stiff crete mix.

The amount of water (which determines the strength) should be 6 gallons to a bag of cement. The amount of sand determines the consistency. If you don't believe this, picture what you'd have if you put one can of soup into 10 gallons of water.

cement:sand:gravel
1 : 3 : 6 normal static,load no rebar
1 : 2.5 : 3 driveway, light duty floor
1 : 1.75 : 4 heavy use floor
