I am wanting to get a Cordless impact probably a Dewalt 18 volt so I can use the batteries with my other tools. My Problem is that I want the 1/2 inch square drive but I also want to use it to drive screws and some drilling. Has anyone made an adapter to go from the 1/2 inch square drive to a keyless chuck? Similier to the Panasonic 15.6volt multidriver has? The Panasonic has the 1/2 inch square drive 1/4 inch hex and a keyless chuck but it goes for around $300. Any ideas appreciated.

I think maybe Sear's sells an adaptor with a keyless chuck that will fit on a 1/2" square drive impact wrench. I have an 18v Milwaukee 1/2" drive cordless impact wrench and it's been very handy, the neighbor's seem to think so too as they've used it almost as much as I have. We've been using mine to put together a grain bin and we are getting around 250 5/16" bolts tightened on each battery.
