How do you measure a band saw blade? I have a metal band saw and need to replace blade. Without cutting blade how do you mesure? Thanks

Brand and model no? Actually theres a relatively small selection of sizes...If it happens to be an import model horizontal/vert model it's likely a 64-1/2x1/2x14T.
Note# If measuring for new blade,don't forget to back off tensioner first.

= (2d)+(2pi r)
where:
d = wheel axle to axle distance
r = radius of wheel
so:
length = 2d + (6.28 x r)

Stick masking tape to blade, mark a line on it.
Placemark on edge of bench. carefully roll blade
back to mark. Measure distance.
