i have a 1/2 hp bridgeport M head that i broke the half inch collet for, MSC used to carry them but they have discontinued them and are just selling off the stock they have, and they are all outa half inch collets for number two morse taper, i called around to a bunch of bridgeport parts places and no one knows of a source, im in big trouble it appears, my only options at this point appear to be buying a 31/64 collet and id grinding it to half inch. anyone know where i might find a collet? this sorta renders my machine semi useless

I have an old Jet Mill that uses the morse taper collets. Production Tool in Detroit sells the full set of morse taper tooling.

Try www.jetequipment.com I got a set of #2 morse taper collets from them, I use them in my lathe but they should work fine.
