Quincy Air Compressor Model 108

Hi,
Looking for help with and old Quincy Air Compressor, Model 108. The air intake is a filter that appears to need to be soaked in oil. Does this sound accurate, or does it look this way because of years of neglect? If so, how should I clean this filter and what oil should I use to re-soak it? My next question is the oil in the base for the pump lubricant. What oil should be used here? Is there any chance of finding a manual on this old pump compressor? Thanks in advance to anyone who might have some info.

I've got a 310 model that has been a great one... I dumped the old wool/felt ? filter and went with a paper filter that fit the housing... haven't had a problem...

quincy makes a strong long lasting unit

Quincys are known for their longevity and reliability.Quincy is still in business and should be able to help you.Also your "local" compressor sales/repair place.Don't have Quincy's URL handy,but its been posted here several times in the past.Check archives.
