U-joint-(oops)

I put two new u-joints on the drive shaft of my 89 GMC pickup. I took the shaft two work and put them on there since I had access to a big vise, so I didn't have the truck handy. I was thinking that I should put the grease fittings to the inside towards the shaft on both ends. Putting the shaft on I realized that I should have put them oppusite meaning facing out. I can get to the one on the transmission side although it's tight but on the rearend side I will have to use a needle connection on my gease gun to grease it. Should I go to the trouble of taking it all off again or will it be O.K. to just leave it like it is?
Thanks for you input.

Nahh, leave it the way it is. With the needle
fittings just don't let it get too dry. You don't
have the grab of the nipple on a dry joint, and
with the needle if the hole rusts over you've
had it..

Ron: ..and here I thought I was the only one to have done that. I just let it be and set one grease gun aside just to do that. As long as I can get grease into it, I let it stay that way. harvey

Yea, I think thats the best thing to do. It doesn't look like it will a problem rubbing on anything so I'll just get a adaptor for my grease gun and leave it be. Thanks for the advice. Ron
