What is the best way to get rid of this tree??I've barked it and it died, but then it suckered out below where I barked it.I know that you can't cut it down and expect it to die completely.I tried some poison but that didn't help either, did kill the limbs that I sprayed but not the tree.

Cut it off at ground level, drill a 1" hole in the stump, and pour any good plant/brush killer in the hole. Roundup will work.

We have used Tordon, works great. I cut down a 4 foor diam willow and painted complete surface of stump with Tordon and it never even sucked out.

Toradon is the best we had elms sprouting this took them out for good. Hint take an ax or saw and make sure you expose fresh wood or toradon will not work. best way to kill standing trees drill 1/2 in holes at a angle around tree fill with toradon costs 10.00 a quart.

thurlow, Tank mix Remedy at a rate of 1gal.chemical /4gal. of red DSL (diesel). Put it in a 1 or 2 gal. hand carry pumpup sprayer. Put a basal (band treatment) on the trunk of the Thorny Locast tree. On young, smooth bark just band the trunk. on the older rough bark trees, Make a slash in the bark with a machate. Then shoot the chemical/DSL mix into the freash wound on the tree. Death should occur in about 1 month to 6 weeks. Right now proir to frost is a great time to get the trees sprayed and the chemical into the roots system and let winter and time kill the plants. Hope this helps.
Later,
John A.
