kohler 2 cycle generator

Anybody ever seen such a beast? Well i got one. Buddy of mine gave me a brand new one that he had sitting around for a long time. It says kohler powerplay on it. It is a max 500 watts, also looks to be belt driven. Any body have any info on this beast? Cause i cant find ANYTHING on it? So anybody??

I'm not quite understanding you here. You say it is a 2 CYCLE generator, yet it is belt pulley driven, apparently by a separate engine.

So why are you calling it a 2 CYCLE generator?

It has a 2 cycle motor driving a generator head via a belt. It is all enclosed, looks like a suit case. Kohler has discontinued them and one guy told me proably 10-15 yars old. I am looking for any info on this thing like motor size or who actually made it. It is made in japan...
