Husqvarna Fuel:oil ratio

I got some stihl eq. It runs at 50 gas 1 oil. I'd like not to have another fuel tank. What ratio does Husqvarna run on?

Husqvarna looks like they will sell a comparably powered and featured saw for less than Stihl.

As I understand it, the oil determines the ratio, not the engine. So if you're using 50:1 oil it should be okay in any 2-cycle engine.

Yup.... but only if you are using it in an engine that requires 50:1 mix.

At the farm we have 8 husky's, all run at 50 to 1. From what I've been told stihl makes excellent saws. It just depends on the local dealer. we run 2-266xp's, 3-350's, 1-272xp, 1-372xp, 1-385xp. I just think the 350's at $300 are one heck of a bargin, light weight, good power and lots of big saw features. If your okay with mail order, comerical cutters out of New York have some very good prices, my 372 was running $690 locally and was $560 from them.

FarmerDave,
Husqvarna runs on 50:1 same as Stihl. Husqvarna, Stihl, and Echo oils are all up to the task. Partner saws (bought out by the same company that owns Husqvarna)used a 50:1 mix back in 1972...long before EPA emissions requirements for 2-stroke equipment.

Just go find some OREGON mix that covers all 2stroke mix ratio's walmart sells it for 1.39 a 2oz tube I have used this in every thing 2 stroke for years had 0 problems. and you only need 1 jug of gas for all tools.

I have a new Husky Rancher and was advised by the dealer to run 40 to 1, even though the instructions say 50 to 1. The 50 to 1 recommendation is to meet pollution requirements, not to make your saw last longer.
