Here is a picture of the ones I built using 2,500lb capacity side crank implement jacks with 3,500lb caster wheels mounted to the bottom of them. I drilled holes in some 1/2" plate that would bolt up to our tractor frames and welded it to the jacks to mount them to the tractor. We place a 20 ton bottle jack under the clutch housing to support the back half of the tractor. These stands only cost around $100 to build and we have used them on everything from our IH Super H up through our 5488 without any problems and I think they would handle even more weight.

I posted a picture under implements, I usually overbuild everything, but i have used it on 180 hp tractors with no problem. It does take a different adapter for some tractors. John

Dave..... ...iff'n yer real clever, you should be able to rig up some of those boat trailer tongue jacks to help you split yer tractor. Bolt'em to flanges of castings and roll'em apart..... ..Dell

Search under "Implement Photos" at the left. Use for your search word "splitter". You should find 3 photos of a pretty nice set.

Try a search for something like cofer sales, maybe in Dodge City, KS- maybe try the BBB in Dodge City. I can't find their literature now, but they make stands and very nicely describe how they build them. Checked my 'research area'- the mess on the desk, and can't come up with the exact site. Otherwise, any steel angles 2-3 inches wide, at least a quarter inch thick, with half-inch plates to bolt to the tractor should hold any old tractor under 70 hp. Wheels with acme threads or 3/4 or one inch threaded rod are a plus when setting for height.
