I'm looking for info. on a Bonney ratchet I have. The handle has "Bonney 4098" on one side and "USA" on the other. The grip is round and knurled while the shaft looks like an I-beam. It is half inch size and still works.

Anyone know anything about this one? Thanks. James

FWIW, the Harry J. Epstein Co., in Kansas City, claims to have purchased the remaining inventory of the Bonney Tool Co. Epstein"s is a step back in time from the "box stores" of today. I try to stay away, it"s easier on my bank account.....

I have some Bonney tools that belonged to my dad and they are in great shape despite 60+ years of use.

Bonney Tools were once made at the Bonney-Utica plant in Orangeburg, SC. I think it was bought by Crescent, anyhow, it is now closed. I have a Micrometer-Type Bonney 1/2 in. Torque wrench. I have used it over 20 years, still like new. I attribute this to the fact that I never loan it out. Regards, Davis
