i was at a garage sale today and they had some sockets (they were old dont know exact age but based on the craftsman symbols i believe 70's or so dont know for sure) anyways some of the sockets said Firestone yes Firestone. does anyone know who made these? what warrenty they had or still have? where to redeem the warrenty or anything like that never heard or seen anything like that. and a google search yielded nothing. i did buy them so your help would be appreciated thanks.

Back in the fifties, Firestone stores sold all sorts of stuff. I remember my dad had a Firestone outboard motor. I imagine they sold tools too.

I think you can forget about the warranty on your sockets. They might be of interest to a collector; there must be someone who collects Firestone stuff.

I don't have any Firestone sockets, but I do have a couple combo wrenches marked B.F. Goodrich. James

Saw a Firestone o/b motor at Flea market this morning. turned over & had good compression.... Seller wanted 85 dollars, probably a good buy for a collector..... ...Regards, Davis

A buddy got a Firestone outboard (7 1/2 hp, if I remember correctly) at a flea market for $25. We pulled the flywheel with a home-made puller, cleaned up the points, and ran it for 2 years until it cracked a coil and caught on fire--it was a real circus in the boat for a couple of minutes!
