I would like to purchase a small (1300 - 1500 psi) portable electric power washer to use in my garage this winter for cleaning the vehicles. I have a larger gas 2500 psi unit but its a pain to operate inside a heated garage during the winter months and I'm also afraid of the exhaust. I don't plan on washing the entire vehicles, mostly just to spray off the outside to remove the road salt and rinse the underneath during our sometimes nasty PA winters.

My father bought a (1500 psi) Husky brand from Sam's Club for around $150 this spring and it seems to work pretty well so far. I wanted something fairly portable but with enough power to do the job. Any advice? Much obliged.

harborfreight.com is selling an 1800 pound one with soap dispenser for $119. I've had one for 2 years, and they are good if you remember their limitations.

buy a washer with wheels, onboard soap container, and onboard tool, hose and cord storage. my carry around unit bit the dust and i bought the one with wheels and i am so glad i did. my old unit only got used a couple times a year because i always had to get out all the parts and carry it around. the new one i use almost weekly because it is so convenient. it is the Husky brand from home depot

For the job you stated, they work very well. I've seen some as low as $100 or so. Try to get one with a "turbo nozzle".
