I need to adjust the slack out of my TD7 tracks, I ordered a manual but it's on back order (great). Anyone know the procedure to adjust the tracks?
Thanks
Dan R.

My 7 has hydralic adjusters. One the yoke just behind the idler wheel is a bolt on cover. under this cover is a grease fitting and a pressure release valve. you usualy have to dig them out of the dirt. put a grease gun on the fitting and pump it will expand the cylinder and take up the slack. if your crawler does not have these covers dig around and you will find two holes on top of thr yoke dig these out and you will see the fittings. you may have to replace the grease fitting to get it to take new grease. any grease will work.E-mail if you need more help

If you need to take the zerk fitting out of a hydraulic cylinder that is use to adjust the tension on a track machine you need to be extra careful. The cylinder can have tremondous pressure built up behind the grease fitting and the grease fitting can become a missile as it is removed. My neighbor only has one good eye as a consequence of doing this.
