Couldn't get air chuck to put air into two tires this morning. Worked O.K. on two; wouldn't let air in on the other two. Worked the last time I used it. What's wrong?

Sometimes the valve cores are screwed way down into the stem, i suspect due to over crushed seal on the core. Anyhow, when this happens, the chuck opens because its depressor is pushed open by the rim of the stem, but the chuck depressor doesn't touch the way too deep core. The only air that gets in is what manages to force the core to open. Sometimes that works, some times not.

I would back the cores out and put new ones in gently, just till they seat and seal, don't force them.

Be careful unscrewing those cores, they shoot out like bullets if the tire has pressure in it. Never stand in line with the stem.
