I just purchased what looks like a very old Quincy air compressor in very good shape. For those that may be able to assist in aquiring some type of manuals or specifications the model # stamped on the head is AS-1. Anyone know where I could go to discover more about this. I have taken some digital photos and could e-mail to anyone with some knowledge. I have been told these older models are better than the new ones out today. I would like to use it in my home shop. The Motor is 110V/220V single phase. Thats a good start.

Thanks for any help

Mr. Gordon

there is a business here in Birmingham, Al. that are truly the gurus of Quincy compressors...

might be worth a phone call to...

Dixie Industrial Equipment 205-780-1346
they got a guy in the shop who was probably around when Quincy made the first one...

the best salesman is Bill Bailey... and the guru in the shop is Hoyt...

hope it helps

John

QUINCEY is a good ole outfit. Like any aged system, though, might want to check-out the air-tank, and I would use 220volt.
