Jonsered Chainsaw source for obsolete parts???

Anyone know of a dealer(s) that have access to obsolete Jinsered
chainsaw parts? Local dealer only wants to sell a new saw.
We have an otherwise excellent 70E that"s only on it"s 3rd chain.
The rubber anti-vibration mounts are tearing apart. And the flywheel
cover/cooling air screen has worn loose around it"s mounting rivits.
An early 80"s vintage machine that purrs at a modest 8000rpm. A bit
heavy to lugg around all day trimming branches. However with a sharp
chain, a real trouper to cut 6" to 12" hard maple tree top sections
into firewood blocks.

HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY 0930 FOUND A GOOD JUG AND PISTON AND BOUGHT SOME MOUNTS NEW BUT DO TO PARTS I BOUGHT A STIHL 046 MAG.
I STILL HAVE IT ,WITH A 36 INCH BAR FOR THE OTHER STUFF

Nice saw. If you do some hunting on the 'Net you'll find places that have some old parts. The mounts may be a commodity item; if you take one to a chain saw shop they might be able to match it up for you.

If you ever get the bug, try an new "T" type (like a 2054T). With full chisel chain it goes through 2' red oak like a hot knife through warm butter. Even though it turns 13,500 rpm, the anti-vibe system makes it a pleasure to use. I've cut hundreds of loggers cords with mine and I wouldn't trade it for anything else.

I picked up a little 2152 "Turbo" Jonsered last year. A fair compromise for trimming limbs while standing on a ladder. While small, it still cuts the heavy/hard blocks with decent speed. Used to use a Stihl 041 without anti-vibration grips (I think) as a kid. Hands were so numb afterwards I took some of my 1st paycheques and traded it for that Jonsered 70E.

I was in a similar situation not that long ago when I needed a air filter cover for an older jonsered saw. I just kept my eye on the internet and checked with the local saw shops. One of them had an old saw for parts that I robbed one from. That seems to be the best bet. Maybe even call to shops in different areas. I know I would be willing to post the numbers for my local shops if I thought they would help. Then if the shop had the part they could ship it to you, or whoever is local could ship it to you.
