My FS80 is about 25 years old. Works great except the fuel tank leaks. The Stihl dealer says he cannot get replacement parts. Any idea where I can purchase parts?

I have a FS80 which I haven't used for a few years, used the cheapos. Wanted to get it going again a coupe of months ago. Had to get a new fuel tank from dealer, no problem $20. Have ordered a primer bulb and recoile housing and haven't been able to get them.

I had the same problems finding a clutch, kept looking and bought a very used unit off ebay, that had a new clutch in it. I would give you the gas tank, but it is beyond repair. I think there is one on ebay now. Good luck!

You didn't say anything about the tank or why it's leaking so I can only give you a general answer... it can be fixed, probably for only a few bucks.

I can't give you any suggestions on where to get parts, but I just wanted to note that you're the second post in the last two weeks to complain about parts availability for an older FS80. (See link below.) Although this speaks well about the durability of these brushcutters, it doesn't say much for Stihl's service. This from a company that makes a big deal about their dealer service.
