Do those axles have an arch to them? It looks like the arch is pointing down. Or is it just my eyes?

Tiny, you could go to your local auto body paint shop get some high dollar Zinc Oxide to paint the frame or go to your ACE hardware store buy some "OS PHSO" (Phosphoric acid) along with a spray bottle. Spray the phosphoric Acid (OS PHSO) onto the rusty frame, will convert red rust to black oxide, which will not oxidize any further. It also adds a thin coat of phosphate, which helps protect metel untill painting. HTH..... ....Keith.. my $0.02

The welds on the spring mounts and pivot mount look a little shaky to me.

I'm with you Scott. The welds all look like they need to be ground out and rewelded. Look at the frame to crossmember weld. Got to do it right the first time cause you won't get a second chance if it fails under load at speed!!

Looks good tiny. You did good.

Don't pay any attention to ScottT.

Them dang yuppies in the self appointed inspection bureau get lippy about everything.

Next comment from Scott he'll be wanting you to let him tell you how him and his Uncle Alphonzo always sandblast and paint them with some sort of super duper yuppie approved polyester enviromental friendly organic milk base paint that they used one time on his Auntie Ester's porch swing she bought at WalMart.
