Has anyone had experience with Grizzly tools? I purchased a 3/8" air ratchet from them and it seemed to be a good buy. Are their tools any good? What have been your experiences? Thanks.

They're good enough. for the money that is.

depends on what you're buying too. Not the best finished tools as far as grinding, polishing and the small details, and sometimes, depending on the tool or machine, they are not the most convenient to change sanding rolls, do micro-adjustments etc. etc. Let's fact it, to keep costs down, they have to cut corners somewhere...

but for the money they are average to just a tad above. you pays for what you get in this world when it comes to tools.

Are we talking about the same Grizzly? The company I am familiar with sells wood working machinery, most of which is made off shore. They have expanded their line recently and may be offering other categories of hand tools as well. I bought a Craftsman 3/8 drive air ratchet the other day (on sale) and it was made in Japan. I don't think any of that kind of stuff is made in the USA any more.

Grizzly also sells a line of metalworking tools (machine tools) that is of offshore manufacture. I have heard pretty good reports on their woodworking machinery, I would assume their metalworking machinery is of comparable quality.
