My Milwaukee port a band has started having trouble with the blade "walking off". I have to make contact with the material prior to starting and I have to stop before exiting the cut to keep the blade on. The bushings seem O K. I do not have a book on the saw. Any thoughts

I repair the power tools for a construction company and I have not successfuly fixed this problem, would like to know, I have changed the tires, bushings, guide blocks& bearings, swaped out the front housing to no help. If you have one fab tool , this is the one to have G.M.

Those rubber tires need replacing after a while and the rollers that guide the blade have a small screw in them that loosens up. There is a tension adjustment under the idler wheel after it is removed. start with the tires there not much money. my two cents worth

Hi ltf, I assume you have cleaned under the rubber grip gaskets and there in place. My front one rides up on the aluminum pulley, it's that one the center tee on the rubber, I figure I need to replace it as it keeps getting worse. You would think there would be an adjustment for alignment but I haven't looked too hard.
