Poked my head inside a dumpster at a jobsite last week and discovered a ryobi tool case. Grabbed it to check inside (I find various cases like this all the time)and inside there is a cordless 5 inch circ saw and matching 2 speed drill. The charger and batteries were missing. I asked everyone at the site and no one knew anything about it so I left word that if it turns up missing tell the owner I have it and to call me and I'll get it back to him. To make a long story short I took them to the local tool shop today for testing and they work great but two batteries and the charger is going to cost me almost 200 bucks!!

Ray, I know a guy that deals in Ryobi stuff, he sells returns. Email me, with details, I will try to get his number tomorrow, so you can call him.

I got on eBay last night and there is all kinds of 18.0 batteries and chargers available for ryobi tools. It turns out the ryobi and homelite are the same thing I can buy chargers for as little as 29 bucks and batteries for just a little more. Still gonna' take a whack on the shipping costs. I might be able to buy a brand new drill with the batts and charger for about the same price.....then I'll have 2 of the darn things...oh well...Thanks for the ideas

Why don't you put it on Ebay and someone else will think they made a big score and you will pocket a couple bucks.

Which is precisely why they were in the dumpster.

Do you think some one else will think they also have a big score after RAY puts in in the dumpster and they find it.
