I have a bunch of implements for my '48 Farmall C, but can't get the field plow connected. Anyone have owner's manual or picture

There are two other pieces that go with the plow.I assume that you are using the 2 bottom mounted plow that was made for the C. There is a bracket that bolts to to middle of the tractor and receives the two spindles at the front of the plow. There is a lift arm attachment that bolts to the rear axle brackets (the same ones that hold the sickle bar mower) and lifts the plow out of the ground by a chain. It connects via a long steel link arm to one of the touch control arms.

The other lift arm goes to the front of the plow by another steel rod and changes the angle of the plow in the ground.

I am sure that someone on this board has a picture of this arrangement. I don't have a way to send you one, but a picture is really worth a thousand words for this one.

The lifting arm is also handy by itself when the plow is not mounted. I have used this plow for 20 years as a garden plow and for small pastures. It works very well. I have a neighbor who farms 1200 acres and started with a tractor like this.
That was work. Today he pulls a 9 or 10 bottom plow with a tractor that costs more than my house.

ED; There is an implement forum. Chances are better over there for getting answers. There are two brackets hanging down below the touch control area that the plowbeam attaches to. The rockshafts , if I remember, have attachments going back to lift it. harvey
