Rivet removal tool

I have a Rivet Eze II P.D. combination rivet vise that is used to remove rivets and then replace the rivets on sickle mowers. I broke the tip that is used to punch the old rivet out and was wondering where to go or who to contact to find a replacement. What I broke is an insert that is held in with a roll pin in what you turn down to push the old rivet out. I checked the local farm stores and the one I have is different than what they carry. Mine has on it Reuter Inc, Hopkins Minn, so I take it that is the company that made it. Any help would be appreciated.

This might be worth a phone call. I don't know if it's the sickle tool company, got the name and number through a manufacturer's index.

Bob, Thanks for the response. I called that number and the lady there has has several calls for the Reuter company. It seems they sold off that product line to an individual and she had his business/fax and home phone number. I called and talked to him and was able to order what I needed. I did have to place a minimum order but it sounds like the assembly that he is making now that the part that I broke goes into is designed better than what it was and that along with an extra punch made the minimum. He was willing to send it to me and then have me send a check for the parts and postage after I get it. Was really pleasant person to talk to. I have his phone number and address if anyone else needs these parts. Thanks again.

I have a Rivet-eze II with a problem with the other end -- a spilt in the bottom of the tool that peens over the rivets. Can you provide me with the contact information for the individual who supplies parts? Many thanks! Chet

If not found take entire unit to a machine shop.They should be able to make a replacement reasonably.Or perhaps your local tech school.
