Shop Floor Finish?? Dura Seal 400??

I had a neighbor whose floor was still too damp after a year. He even had bought his own meter to check it with, tired of bothering the floor finish company. Finally found a leaking joint in a water pipe just outside the foundation. Fixed that and in 3 months it was dry enough.

A good epoxy finish requires the floor be roughened first. The company I am familar with uses a machine to steel shot blast the floor in a 2 ft or so wide swath and it recycles the shot. They roll around a bar magnet to pick up the stray shot. Then put on one watered down coat of paint and finally a full weight coat of epoxy. They use Tennant brand materials. Very pricey but they stay on the floor and don't come up.

If you use concrete curing/sealing compount on the floor it has to be completely removed to paint it with the epoxy. Acid is a sure fast way to shorten the life of your cement.
