O.T. Mosquito Magnet

We seem to have a bumper crop of mosquitos here this spring so I wondering if anyone has tried the " Mosquitos Magnets " that are for sale at such places as Home Depot. I checked the manf. web site and of course they have many testimonials saying how great their product is, of course your not going to see any replys from dissatisfied customers. The Liberty model sells for about $ 500 so they are not cheap, in fact there really isn't much to them. On the other hand if they work as well as they are advertised they are probably worth every penny. Anyone out there own one and how well does it really work. Thanks.

I specialize in repair due to my 5 years of servicing these products to keep my customers happy email me I will be glad to help. This is one of many testmonials by a happy client (I must let you know that these results are mostly due to the type of mosquito magnet and my expertise and a specialised maintinance plan I have developed). Re: Mosquito Magnet I was referred to Ron by the distributor of the Mosquito Magnet as he was the sales representative acting for them. He was just starting with his plans to get into the maintenance of the machines. Ron has been maintaining my machines since July 2002. When he started, I had a horrendous mosquito problem. My property back onto the Birch State Park and separating me from the Park is a narrow stagnent fresh water lagoon, which is a breeding ground for mosquitoes and no-see-ums. The problem was really bad and my yard is 175 feet long on the border of the lagoon. When I purchased my second Pro Model Mosquito Magenet, Ron installed it himself, repaired the old machine and much more importantly advised me where they should be placed for maximum effect. He promised me he would get rid of the mosquitoes entirely. As I had so many frankly I had my doubts. For the first few months he would catch a 1/2 to 3/4 net; approximately 186,000 mosquitoes per machine. This would be the average catch every two weeks. The State Park also removed hundreds of casarina trees from the island on the lagoon disturbing the wild life and the insects. Regardless of that we are now in February and I am mosquitoe free! Ron was as good as his promise. I recommend that if you buy one of these machines, sign up for Ron's maintenance plan.

I've had my MM running 7x24 now for almost nine weeks and have caught approximately 20 mosquito's. I've contacted tech support and as a last straw I'm told to use the other attractant called Lurex because the Asian Tiger may be the predominant skeeter in my neighborhood. They do look like the Asian Tiger and bite whenever outside. Now after two weeks with the Lurex I've only caught 8 to 15 mosquito's. At this point and trying almost everything I just don't have any confidence in this product. Mosquito Blues in Memphis!

My son has one and it works very well in his bug infested yard. His is the Liberty model which he purchased at HD.
