Sources for hardware

Does anybody have a good source to order hardware on line? I need some hardware for my 1939 B John Deere that I cant find at the local hardware stores. Id feel silly paying $5 to get $2 worth of hardware delivered UPS, but driving around looking for things gets expensive, particularly when you cant find it!

Thanks in advance,

Pat

Have you tried Quality Farm & Country? They have a nice tractor catalog too. They just opened a store here locally, I haven't been to their website yet, but they have pretty good prices and many things you can't get anywhere else (at least locally).

You might try McMaster-Carr, they have a pretty extensive selection of hardware. I don't know if they have stuff that will be correct for your purpose.

If you order the hardware you need on a dealers weekly stock order you pay no freight charges. I do this all the time for customers. The only drawback is you must waite a week on the stock order..... ..Rob

Don't worry about paying $5.00 for shipping a $2.00 screw or bolt from John Deere because they don't have anything that cost $2.00. I paid $28.?? for the battery door closer on a 420. A little like a oil company, but ?????

I guess JD or CAT cost too much?
