O.T.----- '01 Chevy Truck Parking Brake

Sorry folks, I know this has absolutely nothing to do with tractors, but I've got a problem with the parking brake on my truck---namely, it doesn't hold.
I've just replaced the disc brake pads on all 4 wheels, and found out that I apparently ended up with brakes from an '00 model (which are smaller), but, the adjustment is taken up all the way, everything appears to be actuating (cables getting pulled when the brake pedal is depressed), but still no parking brake. It doesn't particularly bother me, but, the truck won't pass its annual safety inspection without the parking brake functioning.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions (besides buying another truck, LOL).

You need to pull your rear rotors off and look inside. The parking brake is 2 small drum type brake shoes inside the rear rotors. Not too hard to replace, but kinda pricey. JEFF

Thanks for the information!
I somehow completely missed those when I replaced the rear pads. I thought the parking brake somehow actuated the calipers, but couldn't quite figure out how.
