I have a similar or same (23AV) saw. Have had the same problem periodically over the last 5 years. Owner's manual TS guide: Engine starts, runs, accelerates but will not idle. Fix: Turn idle speed screw cw to increase idle speed. Never worked for me. Before you do anything check that the spark plug is tight. Mine started vibrating loose after the first few tanks. I can't help but think that there is a connection. I put new plugs in it often just for thread grip. This is how I had to do it. Do this warm. Take the limiters off. Note the starting position and turn the idle speed screw in, whatever takes to keep it just idling. Adjust the low speed screw whichever way it takes to raise idle speed slightly and then back off idle speed screw until the chain stops or it is close to dying. Repeat that until the the idle speed screw is as near back to the original postion, the engine idles w/o stumbling and the chain is stopped. Now you will probably have delayed acceleration. Adjust that out with the high speed screw. Stop and start it a few times to check idle and acceleration. If ok do some sawing. You may have to adjust the low speed screw down a couple of times for chain stop. I use the saw for limbing and light bucking, not near as much as you, but I probably do more starting & stopping. I've had to adjust this thing every year or so for the last 5 years. Joe
