Finally I found a REAL 110 Volt DC WELDING MACHINE $200 and it is not an AC buzz box, this is a real DC welding machine that is a 110volt inverter type welder technology that welds 1/8" 7018 DC welding rod with Amps to spare. I have been welding for 14 years and this is the real deal, works great with 6010 & 6011 rod. My neighbor and I are making a 3-point Hitch with it for his 1953 John Deere "C". I used it to make my Flatbed for my 79 Chevy Pickup and my home garage 6000 lb. hoist. It is great having a true DC welding machine with power that I can plug into a 110v outlet anywhere I am. I feel bad because I was somewhat of a jerk at the welding shop when I ordered it warning them that I was going to bring it back if it didnt weld as good as they claimed, but was I ever surprised, it turned it up a little high the first time I lit up an 1/8 7018 DC rod thinking it was going to be weak and I melted that rod right down as if I was using it as a Air Arc rod. After turning down the amps to where they should have been in the first place that little 6 pound, YES, it weighs 6 pounds, DC Inverter welder put down a bead with the 7018 as good as my 220volt Miller welding machine. How much ? $200. Yeah, now you see why I thought it was bull when I researched it on the Internet. My 220v Miller Syncromatic Stick/TIG welding unit started at $1800, and I love it, but I cant use it in my home garage because we only have 110v power not a problem now with this ArcOne 110v Inverter DC welding machine. I also made it into a scratch start TIG ( Tungsten Inert Gas ) welding machine by purchasing a TIG torch from Harbor Freight Tools online ( Part #45966-3VGA ) for $29 and it turned out to also be made by ArcOne. Works GREAT !!! How about that a DC TIG welding machine for $230. I love to talk welding... If anyone has any questions about the Welding machine or Welding in general send me an email [email protected] I use to work as a Diver and Welder in Alaska for 6 years but now just keep a full metal working shop as a hobby. Also if you want a copy of the plans we designed for the 1953 C John Deere tractor, I can send them for free to you via your email. Lots of photos of projects to prove that little welder works better than you would ever expect from some thing that is the size of a lunch box and weighs 6 pounds. I keep on in my truck all the time for just in case.

Was the neighbors' John Deere "C" really a 1953 model? Didn't think that model ever got into production, other than a few prototypes and most were recalled and then were remade into "GP" series. Think I read that they were produced maybe in the 1920's. Would be interesting to see a picture of this jewel. You may have a rare machine residing there in your neighborhood that no one knows about.

I don't know a lot about John Deere tractors. I will have to ask him about the 1953 ? I do have digital photos of it if you would like to see what it looks like.
