I am having a bit of a problem with my McCulloch MS1635 chainsaw. After I start it and use it for 2 or 3 cuts in an 8"-10� tree it just revs at top speed with no throttle given. Then when I give throttle, it chokes and dies - if I give half or full choke it dies too so that is working fine.Ironically, for a few more cuts, I can position the saw at a certain angle and it goes again � but after a few more cuts, I have to stop and let it cool a bit to get some more cuts out of it. This is exactly the same problem I had 2 months after I purchased it and sent it to McCulloch for warranty repairs. Now, 1 year later, it is back at it. No clue what the service folks at McCulloch did so if anyone has an idea of how to make it stop revving at full, I would appreciate knowing. I guess what I am asking is, how do the two little carb adjustment screws work? Also, could it be because I have too much oil in my mix? I added a bottle that was for 2.2 gallons of gas in 2.0 gallon gas can? Notes: The plug is new, the exhaust screen is clean, gas filter changed (before it went in for servicing last year), chain oiler is fine, chain tension is fine too, and it cuts beautifully when it is working right. Suggestions would be appreciated and thanks for any help offered.
