Despite my efforts with ant powder, ant granules, sweet ant food - they keep coming into one area of the house, then another. Any recommendations on what is best for fumigating crawl space with? Or what eradication method has worked for you? Many thx, Dee

The ant bait stations work well. Get a pack and the ants will be gone quickly. I have used them with great success. They are plastic and have adhesive so you can stick them anywhere.

Not all ants are attracted to sweets -- for grease eating ants, mix a little boric acid (available at the drug store) with peanut butter. Place dabs on small squares of aluminum foil (used to use bottle caps in the old days) and scatter around.

I heard that powdered sugar mixed with baking soda will cause them to eat and explode. Try it it may work.

I have used powdered sugar and Borax powder mixed together to kill ants. It works pretty good. the little devils take it back to the nest and feed it to all their friends. They don't explode. They dry out instead.

Dursban sprayed heavily on inside and out side of foundation works, but likely you cant find that. so I would try the same with diazanon. If you want diazanon, better hurry as it also is coming off the shelves soon.

Yep, Mac is right, diazinon is doomed. Figures, find something that works and it gets banned because people couldn't use it right. Check out>Link

my wife use's Bay leaves spread around in back of cabnits in corners under the sink even under carpets . we dont have ants . you find them in the spice rack at the food store also we have very few spiders dosent hurnt to spray the foundation with diazanoneach season

Terro ant killer is what I've used. worked great took three times to remove all the ants. First one brought in most of the nest second and third were to get any straglers

Also you can search over on Country life ants have been discussed several times over there just search the archives. Its listed as Country Talk on the view all discussions forums button on the main ytmag page
