O.T. dishwasher hot air vent

I'm feeding my face last weekend and my wife has her dishwasher on with a towel stuck between the washer door top and the counter top due to condensation that comes out the grill vent at the top of the door. Now this is our new house we have waited all our lives for. Her counter top has a wood nose (roman oge?) that you can see is showing color change form the condensation even using that towel. I made her a 6" sheet of pelxiglass that had a slight slant away from the counter but then the condensation just makes a pool that ends up on the floor. Any of you handy guys fixed this vent? I'm looking for a attaboy from the little gal.

Are you using the "heat dry" setting? That would cause a lot more steam to be generated, than the "air dry" setting.

We run ours on the air dry setting, and since we usually run it overnight, dishes are dry by morning.

Ours is more a mist on heat dry than actually leaving a puddle. Your washer might not be draining enough and evaporating a bunch of water instead of just whats on the dishes.
