Both of the companies you mentioned specilize in "low cost", "imported" (mostly Chinese), tools best suited for "occasional" use. I agree with the statement that buying the large, heavy, massive, type of tools seem to give better service. Examples: I purchased a set of 1/2 inch Impact Sockets, split a couple, got replacements, then split some more. I then got some "Good" (MAC, Proto, Snap On, Bluepoint, etc,) Impact sockets, at a Yard Sale, in the sizes that I had split (and use most often). I still use the sockets from the imported set for occasional use. On the positive side: I purchased a set of (heavy) Coil Spring Compressors that I have used only twice, they worked just fine both times. I may never have to use them again. Perhaps only once or twice ever again. The price was a very small fraction of the price of a Good Professional Set and are all I will ever need. A very large sledge hammer which I almost never use, but, when I really need it, it sure is handy to move or break something where nothing else will work. Also, I purchased a set of very large combination wrenches, and have used them "occasionally" (a very few times) over many years. (I just do not do a "LOT" of work with equipment that has a lot of very large bolts and nuts.) They do come in handy for taking the blades and hub off of a Brush Hog and the rear axle nuts off of an antique tractor. Thankfully, I had to do these jobs only "rarely", and not likely often again since I am now retired. If I was purchasing tools to use every day, all day long, to work with to earn my pay, where "time was money", I would always get the "Best" or at least "Very Good" Professional Tools. Breaking a tool while trying to get a job completed can "cost" a lot of time (even if only to get another tool), a lot of money in the cost of the tool and lost time, and may result in injury, pain, medical expenses and additional lost time from work. I think that in some cases the tools that these two companies sell are the same, or made by the same (Chinese) company, or are very similar. I like the Homier Tool "Tools" and warranty better. I think that Homier prices are usually lower. (just my opinion, I have been wrong before.) Gordon in IN
