I need a small air compressor to run a nail gun
for roofing and other work. There is a good deal
at Home Depot for a Ridge 5 gallon oil-lube unit.
Does anyone have an opinion good/bad about the
Ridge brand. Also does anyone know who the manufacturer is building them for Ridge. I know
Emglo builds some of the Dewalt models, but nothing about Ridge. Thank you.

I would try and get a belt driven compressor, or any such tool for that matter. If the compressor or motor goes you are not limited in what you can replace it with if it is connected with a belt.

Ridge and Ridgid compressors are made by Emerson, or at least the one I have is. They're a good brand
