Can anyone tell me how to wire 4 plugs(actually two plugs in 1 double box)in a double box in the middle of a run. This is using 12/2 wire in 120 service. I have some electrical experince but still not too sure about this one. I have a book but the book only shows the box on the end of the run. Thanks a bunch

Well, for starters, here is a real good web page that shows a single receptacle in the middle of a run.

The grounds as well as the line(s) and neutral need to be joined with a wirenut in each box and three or four pigtails brought out to each receptacle. The reasoning being if a receptacle is damaged and/or removed the rest of the receptacles down stream are not left without a neutral or ground. Contrary to the opinion of many persons, a wrap of tape around the wirenut is not required or desired.
