What would be good to use in a small 3 1/2 gal.

For years we used mineral spirits as the general purpose solvent (read cheap)...about 2 or 3 bucks a gallon. Has it been outlawed? I don't think it was any more flammable than diesel fuel. Fred OH

Haarbor Freight has concentrated fluid that is about $8.00 a gal. A gallon will fill a 20 gal cleaner. It's not as strong as others but it leaves no oily film and it won't catch on fire. I buy it in the store but I expect you can order it online. Hope that helps.

I use Varasol in mine. My fuel distributor sells it,I think this is what TSC sells in 5 gallon buckets for parts washer solvent. Not quite as flammable as diesel, and washes off easily.

I use kerosene mixed with Kano Floway available at www.kanolabs.com
The Floway makes the kerosene rinse off with water.

Some people use diesel or kerosine and they also make stuff just for them but it cost as much or more for it then the washer did. I was going to get a 20 gallion one till I found out how much it would cost to fill it. I needed something that would clean the parts so I could then paint them and diesel will not work for that.
