has anybody rebuilt a turbo-mine is leaking oil . how much is a seal kit and is it hard to do. thanks ralph

Turbos turn at an unreal RPM and they are very sensitive to the least little out of balance or other problem. Even though they are probably expensive, a professionally rebuilt one is probably your best bet. Even if you were able to get it apart and back together sucessfully, I suspect it would self destruct shortly thereafter, leaving you without even a core to trade in.

Go to dieselram.com and talk to the bombers. They seem to have done just about everything possible under a shade tree.

I agree, don't try to rebuild the turbo yourself. You'll will probably end up with more damage.
Two things on my truck i won't attempt to fix...the turbo and fuel injection pump
