Any opinons on the Troy-Bilt pressure washers as sold by Lowes? The item in question is 2.5 gpm, 2600 psi, if I recall correctly, with a Honda engine around 6 hp. Any good or typical Troy-bilt?

I work at Lowe's. My experience is this: Pumps go on the fritz if not bled carefully before revving up the engine to full power. Honda OHC engine is problematic. Briggs engine only runs about two minutes when the idiot who purchases washer fails to read instructions and also fails to add oil!! Return tally since January 1st is: Briggs powered model returned three times for failure to add oil (customer then had a "spare". No oil, no warranty.) Honda powered model returned two times, both times engine took a dumper. Had oil, just crapped out. Regards.....P

I bought a Troy-Bilt washer with the Honda engine at Lowes last year to use at our business. If I remember correctly, it was a little over 400 dollars. I use it an hour or so per week,& have been pleased with it. My only concern is the rate that it uses soap in the siphon mode. It will empty a gallon jug in a minute or 2. I now mix the Purple Power cleaner at a 50/50 ratio with water before I put the siphon tube in. All in all, I think it is a good pressure washer for the price. Regards, Davis
