Thanks for your comments on NAZ'S post Got to thinking I would not want to try an unproved thing,at severl hundreds dollars. Had about all I needed to make a test system Bought less than 3 dollars on new stuff. Its is ten feet tall with 40 feet of 3/4 in pipe and 1 and 1/2 gals. of water in it .The energy source is 30 inches from top of system ,it is an old electric water heater element with 110 volts of power. takes about 5 minutes for hot water to get around loop. When water is up to temp.Top temp. is around 175 degs. and bottom is around 160 degs.with air temp. around it at 50 degs.Put 3 inch plastic pipe around down pipe Filled with sand to take place of heat Exc. When system was up to temp. put 60 degs. water in sand. took 1/2 hr to put 3 gals of water in it, that droped temp. at bottom 80 degs. and top temp. 15 degs. To have heat exchanger take out 80 degs. temp ,that is not going to happen 10 or 15 degs . would be more like it But system worked like I though it would .-----Thanks again for your concerns as you know if things are not done right you can have BIG PROPLEMS---G.King

Youre welcome. Some of the work I do is trying to convince some engineers that their diploma doesn't allow them to defy the laws of physics.
