Before you start shootin hold on one. The 510 saws that I have are points type units. Remove the recoil and air filter cover and then you need to remove the flywheel. Right hand normal thread if I remember correctly. Under there is a little cover plate and inside are the points. Wash them clean with a little carbclean. Gas leaves a residue. Relube the cam surface with a TINY amount of bearing greese. It needs to be sticky to stay on. These saws have a real hot spark when everything is fine. Plugs can go bad too. Of all the saws I have not one had an ignition problem of any big deal. Let me know. Jeff

No just lock the wheel with a big screwdriver, AND DON"T bust off a colling fin. The wheel has a TINY LITTLE BITTY KEY ! With the nut loose and back it off alittle. Next take a flat blade driver, put it under the wheel, NOT WHERE THE MAGNETS ARE, and give it a little twist. It should pop right off. Don't lift up on tools inside a saw cause it can punch a hole. Right as rain Jeff. Came off just as you described. Condenser is oil soaked by the look of it. The points look dry and are not pitted. I hope to clean everything up good this weekend. Then I'll reassemble it and see if we got spark. Sure appreciate your help- Mike in Va.
